Connective tissue or also called Fascia (Latin) is an important part of our largest organ: the skin. Subcutaneous connective tissue lies below the epidermis and dermis. This is supportive tissue found throughout our body. It keeps our body in shape and provides strength.
Connective tissue massage offers the ideal solution for treating cellulite and firming the skin for both body and face.
What is Connective Tissue Massage?
A connective tissue massage is an intensive massage technique that targets the deeper layers of skin and subcutaneous connective tissue. It stimulates circulation, improves skin structure and promotes the production of collagen
This technique can be applied to both the face and body and provides immediate visible results. The massage will stimulate blood flow to the skin, allowing more oxygen to enter the blood and better removal of waste products.
The Skin Therapist uses a massage technique that can feel firm, especially in areas of high tension or adhesions. The technique is performed with the hands in combination with cupping.
Benefits of Connective Tissue Massage
A connective tissue massage offers numerous benefits to the skin and the overall condition of the underlying connective tissue. The deep massage strokes greatly stimulate blood flow, allowing oxygen and nutrients to be better transported to the skin cells. This activates the natural production of collagen and elastin, resulting in firmer, smoother and more resilient skin. The massage also helps reduce cellulite, lines and wrinkles. It also creates fuller and firmer skin.
