Home " Skin Problems " Rosacea (vessels)
By itself, rosacea is harmless, however, it can be perceived as cosmetically disturbing. Couperose is more common in people with light, thin or sensitive skin and in women over the age of 30.
What is rosacea?
Rosacea is a common skin problem in which small, chapped or dilated blood vessels become visible on the face, particularly on the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead. This redness occurs because the capillaries on the surface of the skin have become permanently dilated.

Frequently asked questions about Rosacea
How does rosacea develop?
Rosacea is usually caused by a combination of hereditary predisposition, UV damage, aging and vasodilation. Factors such as alcohol, temperature changes and improper skin care can also aggravate it.
Can rosacea disappear on its own?
No, rosacea does not disappear on its own. The dilated blood vessels remain visible without treatment. However, with proper care and lifestyle, you can prevent it from getting worse.
Does rosacea come back after treatment?
Treated vessels do not return, but the skin may develop new vessels in the future. Regular maintenance, good skin care and sun protection help prevent this.
What role does sunlight play in rosacea?
Sunlight is a major aggravating factor. UV radiation weakens vessel walls and causes more dilation. Therefore, daily use of sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) is essential.
Is rosacea hereditary?
Yes, there is often a hereditary predisposition. If rosacea runs in the family, you are more likely to suffer from it as well.
Does facial care help against rosacea?
Good skin care cannot cure rosacea, but it can soothe the skin and help prevent new vessels. Avoid irritating ingredients such as alcohol, perfume, menthol and eucalyptus.
