The choice for your skin

Laser hair removal

Are you tired of shaving, waxing or tweezing over and over again? Then opt for a laser hair removal treatment, the permanent solution for unwanted hair growth. With our advanced lasers, we destroy hair follicles safely and effectively. Enjoy smooth skin every day. At Your Laser Clinic we wax women and men and the first intake is free!

What is laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal uses concentrated beams of light (laser light) that penetrate the hair root. The pigment (melanin) in the hair absorbs the light, then converts it into heat. This causes the hair follicle to be damaged to such an extent that the hair can no longer grow, or grow very little.

Benefits of laser hair removal

Unlike temporary solutions such as shaving, waxing or tweezing, laser hair removal offers a permanent solution. No more suffering from stubble, ingrown hairs or painful hair removal methods. With laser hair removal, these inconveniences are a thing of the past. After the course of treatment, you will enjoy smooth skin.

For people dealing with unwanted hair growth, this treatment offers more than just a permanent solution. It is also a release from the shame, uncertainty and frustration often associated with excessive hair growth. This treatment not only helps to improve the skin, but also to restore self-confidence.

Indications for laser hair removal

Laser hair removal is an appropriate solution for the following indications.

Unwanted hair growth

If you suffer from hair growth in unwanted areas and would like to have it removed in a simple and effective way, it is possible.

During an intake interview, we take ample time to discuss your needs and explain the treatment process. In addition, we ask a number of medical questions to make sure there are no contraindications. This way we can guarantee you safe, effective and personalized treatment.

Excessive hair

Do you suffer from excessive hair growth due to hormonal imbalance or genetic predisposition? Then laser depilation is the solution. This treatment permanently destroys the hair follicles, significantly reducing or eliminating hair growth in unwanted areas.

Hidradenitis suppurativa

Hydradenitis Suppurativa is a chronic skin condition characterized by painful, inflamed bumps, abscesses and scars, usually in areas where skin meets skin, such as the armpits, groin, buttocks and under the breasts.

BeforeBeforeAfter

Before and after treatment

  • We recommend avoiding sun exposure before treatment. This prevents the unnecessary risk of pigment shifts.
  • Protect skin with sun protection factor 50.
  • Be sure to shave your skin thoroughly 1 day before the treatment. Do this with a razor blade and do not use wax/resin, epilady or other depilatories.
  • Prior to treatment, the specialist will check your skin for any remaining hair and remove it with a razor blade.
  • Make sure the skin is clean and free of body lotions or other creams.
  • Put on easy-fitting clothing. This will prevent any chafing against the treated areas.
  • Please note that intimate area treatments are not feasible during menstruation
. We ask that you keep this in mind when scheduling your appointment
  • Do not wear dark underwear, but preferably white or at least light underwear. This is due to the high degree of light absorption.
  • Do not use makeup around the treatment area(s). Do you still have makeup on because you are coming directly to the clinic from your daily activities, for example? If so, please indicate it to the specialist. She will be happy to clean the area for you.
  • Keep in mind your overall hygiene.
  • If you have had your armpits treated, please do not use deodorant in the first 2 days.
  • We recommend avoiding the sun after treatment. Of course, you can go outside as normal, but we recommend using good sun protection (SPF factor 50)
  • We do not recommend using heat sources such as saunas, swimming pools and a hot shower for the first 2 days after treatment.
  • You may shave between treatments, but absolutely no waxing/hairing, tweezing or using depilatories.
  • Drink plenty of water. This stimulates the lymphatic system to clear the destroyed hair follicles.
  • Never scratch or rub even the days before the next treatment. This can create unnecessary scabs, which can follow up with pigmentation or scarring.
  • Report changed situations regarding medication use, pregnancy,
breastfeeding, sun behavior (vacations) and/or use of self-tanning products to the specialist in a timely manner
    before each treatment.
  • It may happen after the treatment that your skin turns a little red and may be sensitive. This usually disappears shortly after treatment. Try to cool the skin with a cooling pad or with aloe vera gel. This is available at the clinic.

Frequently asked questions about laser hair removal

Your Laser Clinic uses lasers with the latest technology. This technology now makes it possible to treat all but gray hairs, skin and hair types. This is in contrast to many other lasers that are limited in this respect.

Thanks to the device's various wavelengths, we can target the treatment. This allows you to see results faster. You will already see a noticeable difference after the first treatment, but you will have to undergo several treatments for permanent hair reduction. The quantity differs per person and depends on the hair type.

No, if you want to have unwanted hair removed, this is reason enough to make an appointment for treatment.

If you are pregnant, we do not recommend treatment for laser hair removal. During pregnancy the hormonal system can cause a different hair growth than you are used to. This may distort the result and the treatment may not turn out as you expected.

The treatment is virtually 100% painless. Make an appointment for an intake and a trial treatment and experience it for yourself.

Laser hair removal provides permanent hair removal. This is because the technique causes the hair follicles to die off over time.
